Shipping Information

Order Processing

We process all orders within 1-2 business days (excluding weekends and holidays) after payment confirmation.

Shipping Methods & Delivery Times

We offer two convenient shipping options to serve our global customers (excluding certain Asian and remote areas):

  • Standard Shipping ($12.95) – via DHL or FedEx
    • Delivery within 10-15 business days after shipment
  • Free Shipping (for orders over $50) – via EMS
    • Delivery within 15-25 business days after shipment

Note: Delivery times are estimates and may vary depending on destination and customs processing. International customers may be subject to customs fees which are the responsibility of the recipient.

Tracking Your Order

Once your order ships, you’ll receive a confirmation email with tracking information. You can track your package using the provided tracking number on the carrier’s website.

Returns & Exchanges Policy

At MiniRail Works Shop, we stand behind our HO scale locomotives, G scale accessories, and all our model railroad products. If you’re not completely satisfied, we offer a straightforward return and exchange process.

Eligibility Requirements

To qualify for a return or exchange:

  • Request must be made within 15 days of receiving your order
  • Item must be in original condition (unused, unassembled, undamaged)
  • Original packaging with all included parts and documentation
  • Proof of purchase (order number or receipt) must be provided

Non-Returnable Items

Due to their nature, we cannot accept returns on:

  • Light Kits (once opened/used)
  • Electronics (if seals are broken)
  • Custom or special order items
  • Opened packages of track pieces

How to Return an Item

Follow these simple steps for returns or exchanges:

  1. Contact Us

    Email our customer service team at [email protected] within 15 days of receiving your order. Include:

    • Your order number
    • Details about the product you wish to return/exchange
    • Reason for return/exchange
  2. Receive Authorization

    We’ll review your request and email you a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number if approved.

  3. Package Your Item

    Securely pack the item in its original packaging with all accessories and documentation. Clearly write the RMA number on the outside of the package.

  4. Ship Your Return

    Send the package to:

    Note: Return shipping costs are the customer’s responsibility unless the return is due to our error.

Refund & Exchange Processing

Refunds

  • Processing Time: 3-5 business days after we receive your return
  • Method: Issued to your original payment method (Visa, MasterCard, JCB, or PayPal)
  • Shipping Costs: Original shipping fees are non-refundable unless the return is due to our error

Exchanges

  • We’ll ship your replacement once we receive your return
  • Shipping costs follow standard rates unless the exchange is due to our error

Damaged or Defective Items

If you receive a damaged or defective product:

  1. Contact us immediately at [email protected]
  2. Include photos of the damaged item and packaging
  3. We’ll arrange a replacement or refund at no additional cost

In some cases, we may provide a prepaid shipping label for returning the damaged item.

International Returns

For our international customers (excluding certain Asian and remote areas):

  • All return shipping costs are the customer’s responsibility
  • Mark packages as “Returned Goods” to avoid customs charges
  • We cannot refund original customs duties or import taxes
